The Mustang women’s swimming and diving team took seventh place in the NCAA Championships in Georgia on Saturday.
Twelve women represented the Mustangs, and two relay teams and seven swimmers made season-best times.
Sophomore Anja Carman of Slovenia swam a season best time of 16:14.38 for seventh place in the 1650 freestyle event. Flavia Rigamonti swam a time of 15:54.67 for secnd place.
Carman, who also had a season-best time in the 500, felt proud of herself after swimming the 1650.
“Swimming the mile on the last day, I felt really good, and I was really happy when I saw the board,” she said.
The team is now preparing for the U.S. Spring Nationals meet on March 28 in Washington.
