The Dallas Cowboys are scheduled to face the Jacksonville Jaguars for the season opener on September 10 at 3:15 p.m. This is the third consecutive season that the Cowboys are opening on the road.
The Cowboys will also remain in their traditional 3:15 p.m. time slot on Thanksgiving Day, when they will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Texas Stadium.
Dallas has not played the Bucs at Texas Stadium since 2001, which was rookie quarterback Quincy Carter’s NFL debut.
Jacksonville, under the direction of former Cowboys linebacker Jack Del Rio, is coming off of a 12-4 season. The Jags also qualified for the AFC wild card in 2005, losing to New England, 28-3.
