Just moments after walking into Ozona Grill and Bar at 7 p.m. sharp this evening for the Dallas Democrats election watch party, the room has begun to fill up before our eyes.

A projector screen at the front of the room projects the early voting totals for the Dallas County elections. It is bookended by two plasmas broadcasting MSNBC’s election coverage.

While it may be too early to make any predictions because votes are still being counted, the early voting screen reveals the Democratic Party is currently leading the parade with 55 percent of the votes.

The room is lined with posters for contenders David Alameel and Wendy Davis, which at this point in the evening seemed like a good play by the party organizers.

As it stands now, Senator candidate Alameel maintains 51 percent of the early voting totals. Meanwhile, current senator and governor candidate Wendy Davis holds 55 percent.

Some additional names we’ll continue to look out for tonight include Leticia Van de Putte for Lieutenant Governor, Sam Houston for Attorney General and Clay Jenkins for County Judge.
