“Career planning is planning for the future,” JerryAlexander, the director of the Hegi Family Career Center, toldmembers of Student Senate Aug. 31.
The director informed the senators that 80 percent of companieswould consider a potential student regardless of thestudent’s major.
“We can set you up with the easiest interviews you willever get,” he said.
But according to Alexander, only one-third of this year’ssenior class is currently registered with the center.
To help students achieve all their goals, the career centerstaff created a career convention designed to offer all thecenter’s programming in one day.
Students can get interviewing tips, have a resume critiqued andeat cookies during this all day event.
