When junior theatre major Pat Rieger first read “JesusHopped the ‘A’ Train” by Stephen Adly Guirgis, hewas drawn to the play’s honesty, which can be quite direct attimes.
“It didn’t hold back from talking about what’sessential to the characters’ lives,” Rieger said.
With fellow theatre major Bechir Sylvain, the two decided duringlast year’s “Mustang Idol” to produce the play aspart of SMUST — SMU Student Theatre.
The show will star juniors Sylvain, Catherine DuBord and MichaelMitchell and sophomores David Dowell and Xavier Castillo. It willbe shown at 8 p.m. this Saturday and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday inMeadows B450.
