Yea to cherry blossom season in Washington, D.C.: This winter’s warm weather has pushed forward the blooming date for D.C.’s blossoms, and has also exploded the tourist season. Now, maybe if Dallas can strike a deal with Tokyo, we can get some people to visit this city.

Yea to Rudy Giuliani coming to speak at SMU: This is great (and rare) opportunity for those students fortunate enough and early enough to get tickets.

Yea to being a junior and getting to register for classes early (for a change).

Neigh to people who go to repertory screenings of old movies just to laugh at them: Maybe older movies like Night of the Hunter seem didactic and technically archaic when compared with current movie making. However, some of us would prefer to enjoy the movies without people snickering through the suspenseful scenes and commenting, “This is really weird. I don’t get it.”
