The lobster is back for its third season, and senior Nate Utkov has taken up the mantel. Ramon Trespalacios, a former student body president, held the honor until last spring break when he knighted Utkov after the AAC Tournament.
Utkov said the lobster suit “gets the Mob rocking.” He tries to be the loudest he can be and rally the crowd with chants rooting on the Mustangs.
Trespalacios began wearing the lobster costume during the 2013-2014 men’s basketball season.
Bleacher Report, CBS Sports, and Sports Illustrated featured the lobster, now a staple in the Mob student section.
