Westcott will see its first action of the season this weekend. The women will be the first to take the field at the newly renovated field. The women’s soccer team takes on the University of Texas at San Antonio Friday at 2 p.m. There is still work to be done to the stands and to the press box, but as far as the field goes, its game ready.
The hope is that the new renovations will bring a stronger fan base for Mustang soccer. The women’s team has made the NCAA tournament each of the past five seasons, and the Men’s team made it to the Final Four last season.
Westcott will see its share of action this weekend with the women playing on Friday afternoon and Sunday. And there are four men’s games this Friday and Saturday with the Mi Cocina Classic. The Mustangs play two games, Friday and Saturday night.
