“Arrested Development,” despite becoming a cult classic and instant favorite among many viewers, had a short, yet memorable three-season run.
Although its abrupt cancellation greatly upset the shows slowly growing fan base, dedicated viewers finally have something to rejoice over.
Mitchell Hurwitz, the creator of the show, has been linked to the production of a full feature “Arrested Development” movie.
Will Arnett announced at Comic-Con International in San Diego, that he and Hurwitz have been working out the details for a hopeful 2011 film release.
Michael Cera, co-star of “Juno” and “Superbad,” and the rest of the cast have not officially tied themselves to the project, however Arnett hinted at their joint interest.
Speaking on behalf of his own character, Arnett stated that his famous mode of transportation, the Segway, is going to undergo a change-up.
Although little has been released concerning the project, many eager fans are patiently awaiting the next detail of this overdue comeback.
It would be a great choice by Hurwitz to return with a movie, rather than the generally lack-luster reunion show, if the project actually does make it to box offices.
Fans: Keep your fingers crossed. Hopefully we will all see America’s most dysfunctional family on the silver screen.
