The Mustangs turned in a strong performance at the TCU Invitational.
Led by strong finishes from Gaelle Naire, SMU also had second- and third-place finishes from her teammates.
Naire placed first in the high jump with a NCAA qualifying height of 1.8 meters and the long jump with another NCAA qualifying length of 6.12 meters. Her fourth place finish came in the javelin throw with a distance of 34.02 meters. Rounding out her five events was a 10th place finish in the shot put. She also competed in the 800-meter race.
Sophomore Christina Mueller placed second in the discus with a throw of 46.62 meters, and freshman Lauren Kuhner placed third in the hammer throw and ninth in the discus.
The Mustangs will return to the track in Norman, Okla., at the Sooner Invitational and the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, next weekend.
