Police are looking for suspects involved in the burglary of the Expressway Towers, as well as two men who allegedly robbed the 7-Eleven on Mockingbird Lane.
SMU PD issued a crime alert about the two incidences on Monday.
The burglary of Expressway Towers took place sometime between 5 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Monday. Several offices in the building, including those belonging to SMU, were broken into. Nothing was taken, but police noted “the burglars forced open office doors, desks and filing cabinets.”
The robbery of 7-Eleven took place at about 2:45 a.m. on Monday. Police issued a description of two suspects who allegedly stole cigarettes “while the clerk was checking something in the store’s refrigerator.”
The clerk described one suspect as a black male about 40 years old, 190 pounds, 6 feet tall, wearing a red shirt. The second suspect was described as a black male about 40 years old, 190 pounds, 6 feet tall with a medium-colored complexion, wearing a red cap, gray shirt and denim blue jean shorts.
The clerk also stated that the second suspect “appeared to be carrying a weapon.”
The two men left in a 1980s model, aqua-colored Ford Taurus.
