Dallas Arboretum “Cool Thursdays” Concert SeriesEvery Thursday from Sept. 10 through Oct. 29, the Arboretum will have a concert starting at 7:30 p.m. Bring a picnic or purchase food at the Arboretum, but if you want to go, purchase tickets early. State Fair of TexasThe annual State Fair is always a great place to try fried Coke, funnel cakes and corn dogs. Check out the wine garden, pig races or the Cotton Bowl on Oct. 3. The fair opens Sept. 25 and tickets are $15. For more information visit bigtex.com.
