Open Violin Master Class
World-famous violinist Midori will host a free master class on Oct. 22 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in O’Donnell Recital Hall in the Owen Arts Center. Midori will be in Dallas performing with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Oct. 23-25. She was named a U.N. Messenger of Peace by the United Nations in 2007. The Meadows Museum Thursday Evening Lecture
Manuel de Falla and Claude Debussy: Musical Connections Between France and Spain at the Turn of the 20th Century
Associate Professor and Chair of Music History Dr. Donna Mayer-Martin will conduct a lecture on Oct. 23 in Smith Auditorium in the Meadows Museum at 6 p.m. Martin will take a look at connections between Spanish and French composers, as well as 20th century musical styles.
