The SMU volleyball team will face two teams on either end of the conference spectrum.
The Mustangs start the weekend against Tulane on Friday night. The Green Wave come into the game as the second-best team in the conference with a 9-2 Conference USA record.
SMU has already played Tulane earlier in the season. The Sept. 30 game did not bring favorable results for the Mustangs.
In New Orleans, SMU fell 3-0; at that time Tulane was 4-0 in conference play. This time Tulane comes into the game riding a four-game winning streak.
The Mustangs will look to derail the Green Wave Friday at Moody Coliseum at 7 p.m.
After losing their first nine conference games of the season, the UTEP Miners found their game this past weekend.
UTEP picked up their first two C-USA wins of the season, but they were against the only two teams ranked lower than the Miners in the conference, UCF and Southern Miss. UTEP dispatched each of them 3-1 at home.
The Mustangs will get the Miners in Dallas, and UTEP is winless on the road. SMU has also already played the Miners earlier in the season. That match saw the Mustangs defeat UTEP 3-1 in September.
SMU will take on UTEP on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Moody Coliseum.
