Marcel, a reporter played by Andrew Buckland (center) asks questions at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission during the U.S. premiere of the production “Truth in Translation” held last night at the Bob Hope Theatre in the Meadows School of the Arts. The play tells the story of the interpreters involved in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) held to identify the causes, nature and extent of apartheid-era violence in South Africa. The TRC also marked the first time a truth commission was made public through TV and Radio.
