Wilco rolls through Dallas, ends up in Austin
Wilco increased its fan base in April when the band released its fourth album, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.
The four-piece is currently on tour in support of that release, as well as the release of I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, the Sam Jones’ directed documentary which chronicles the making of the acclaimed record.
The tour, which began Sept. 2 in Seattle, makes its way through Texas with a stop on Thursday night at the Gypsy Tea Room in Dallas.
The band then converges upon Austin for the Austin City Limits Festival this weekend, along with many other artists such as String Cheese Incident, Soulive, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and Particle.
Artists such as Bob Schneider, Pat Green and South Austin Jug Band add a little down-home flavor to the whole affair.
