SMU golf team finished 10th place at Sooner Invitational held at the Fazio Stonebriar Course in Frisco.
Senior Ryan Abbate fired a final round one under 71.
It was Abbate’s second consecutive round of 71 and left him at one over for the tournament and in a tie for 20th place.
In the end, TCU won the event at 25 under par for the three-round, two-day tournament.
The Mustangs finished 23 over par with a three-round total of 887.
SMU senior Brock Mulder fired a final round 75 to finish in a tie for 30th with a three-round total of 220.
Freshman Will Dodson finished 10 over par for the tournament and in a tie for 49th after his final round 74 Tuesday.
Nicholas Loar and J.P. Charon tied for 51st place as each shot a 229 for the tournament, while freshman Jerad Harklau rounded out the Mustang effort with a three-round total of 233.
SMU’s next invitational is Sept. 29 to Oct. 1, when they take part in the Colbert Invitational held in Manhattan, Kansas.
