The SMU women’s track and field team posted several NCAA regional qualifying times Thursday at the Mean Green Twilight in Denton.
Freshman sprinter Amber Evans swept the 100- and 200-meter runs, posting NCAA qualifying marks in each. Evans ran the 100 in 11.74 seconds, which was a school record.
Simone du Toit and Christina Mueller finished first and second, respectively, in the women’s discus throw. du Toit’s heave of 57.35 meters was a stadium and school record. Mueller posted a regional qualifying throw of 50.74.
Lauren Kuhler and Ayla Gill swept the top two places in the hammer throw, with Kuhner posting a regional qualifying toss.
