Susan Kress, executive director of Engaged Learning, is excited that the symposium is scheduled during Family Weekend.

“It’s wonderful that the students get to showcase their accomplishments in multiple departments to not only us, but also to their families,” Kress said.

Mona Alluri, the assistant director of Engaged Learning said that 30 students will present for five minutes each. These presentations represent five different programs: the Caswell Undergraduate Leadership Fellows, Engaged Learning Fellowship, Maguire Center Public Service Fellowship, McNair Scholars, and the University Honors Richter Research Fellowship. Each program has it’s own time slot with presentations throughout the day.

“The presenters discuss their findings, goals, and what they have achieved over the last two years they have worked on their research projects,” said Alluri.

The Engaged Learning Fall Symposium is open to the public. For more information visit the Engaged Learning website.
