Want to learn more about the end result of all that noise in Fondren Library?

Central University Library staff will detail Fondren’s renovation plans to the CUL Student Advisory Council at 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21.

Elizabeth Killingsworth, director of Fondren Library and head of research services, and User Experience Librarian Hollie Gardner will explain the end results of the entire renovation, which will include a Starbucks, more group study space and restorations to the Centennial Reading Room and Foyer.

The $17 million project is scheduled to finish in July 2016. Improvements to the Library Catalog, which allows students to check out books online, will also be addressed at Monday’s meeting. Killingsworth said she would like the catalog to be easier to use and look nicer.

The Student Advisory Council meets on the third Monday of every month in Fondren Library. To file a suggestion box submission or become a member, visit the CUL website for more information.
