Want to see what SMU’s most inventive students have been up to? Take a break from the Halloween activities and visit SMU’s Big iDeas Pitch Contest Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. in room 600 of the Expressway Tower.

Students will pitch their inventive ideas to judges for a chance to win up to $1,000 of seed money to get their big ideas off the ground.

With this money, students will develop a prototype or pilot of their idea in preparation for their presentations Jan. 30.

Past winners include Oasis Express, a weekend shuttle to the White Rock Lake Farmer’s Market, and Reading for a Reason, an annual on-campus read-a-thon promoting literacy in young children.
