Third candidate for Meadows dean pays SMU a visit

The third candidate for the position of dean of Meadows School of the Arts is Xavier Costa, professor of architecture and founding dean of the College of Arts, Media and Design at Northeastern University in Boston. This year, Costa is also a visiting researcher at Harvard Graduate School of Design and at ETH Zurich. He’s held academic and research positions at Cornell University, Columbia University and the Architectural Association in London as well.

Costa will visit SMU Oct. 22-23. Following his visit, students and faculty will have the opportunity to provide feedback regarding their perceptions of Costa’s suitability to serve as the dean of Meadows.
