In response to the recent shootings in Georgia, as well as the rise of anti-Asian violence across the U.S., the SMU Association of Asian and Pacific American Scholars and Allies calls on the community to stand in solidarity with the AAPI community.
SMU’s Asian Council will be hosting a vigil on Dallas Hall Lawn honoring the victims of the Atlanta shooting, which have sparked nationwide conversations about racism and misogyny towards Asians and Asian women.
The SMU community loses a valued student and friend.
