A hotel for many is a place to stay on vacation, whether that be a family trip, luxurious getaway, or stop along the way. But how much do you really know about what is going on behind the closed doors in hotels across the country?
For a while now, I’ve been trying to figure out what I want to do for a living. I was never one of those kids who had a ready answer when adults asked what they wanted to be when they grew up. I guess I just always hoped I’d find something I loved later on. But I feel like I need to get a move on now, so that I can take the right classes and get set up for my career.
Lately, I’ve been very interested in the hospitality industry. I think it would be cool to work in the world of hotels, restaurants, and nightclubs. But I’m not so sure whether I’d want to deal directly with guests, or do something more behind the scenes. Experts, can you give me a bit of an overview of different career options within the hospitality industry?
