The SMU cross country team traveled to San Antonio this weekend to compete in the UTSA Ricardo Romo / Six Flags Fiesta Texas Classic.
The Mustangs finished 5th.
UTSA finished first; Texas State took second place; Texas Pan America finished in third place; and TAMU-Kingsville finished in fourth place.
Individually, Aasha Marietta led the Mustangs coming in 11th place out of 79 runners with a time of 18:44.3.
Valerie Lindenmuth (26th) also finished in the top half of the competition with Caitlin Keen (28th) close behind her.
The Mustangs will travel to South Bend, Ind., for the Notre Dame Invitational.
