SMU volleyball has made the NCAA Tournament and will face Texas A&M in the first round. SMU won the AAC with an 18-2 conference record, going 25-7 over the course of the season.
This will be the second straight tournament appearance for the Mustangs. Purdue bounced them in the first round last season, by a score of 3-1.
SMU’s opponent, Texas A&M, finished the year 21-8, going 15-3 in the SEC. Their last loss came on Nov. 20 against Kentucky.
SMU finished the season with seven straight wins, and won 13 of their last 14 games. They will look to continue that hot play into the tournament.
The game will be played on Friday, Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. in Austin, Texas. If SMU wins, they will face the winner of UTRGV and Texas.
