The SMU cross country team traveled to Arlington Saturday morning for the UT-Arlington Invitational.
The meet’s course consisted of a two mile run around Vandergriff Park in Arlington.
The Mustangs totaled 38 points, TCU trailed behind with 43 points, Baylor finished third with 58 points and host UTA took fourth with 76 points.
Silje Fjortoft took the gold medal for the second time this season. She finished with a time of 10:31, one of the fastest times ever run on UTA’s course.
Two other Mustangs also finished in the top-ten; Kristine Eikrem-Engeset finished third (11:02) and Monika Korra placed sixth (11:14).
The SMU Mustangs will travel to San Antonio, Texas, September 16, to compete in the UTSA Ricardo Romo/Six Flags Fiesta Texas Classic.
