This weekend, SMU will be hosting the 2010 Patriot Cup, the largest lacrosse tournament in Texas. The tournament will be benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project, which is a non-profit organization that seeks to assist men and women of the armed forces that have been severely injured during conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world.
The event will culminate in a match between defending national champion University of Michigan and University of Oregon. Last year’s event brought out more than 7,500 people and raised over $10,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project.
SMU will be playing Texas A&M at 4:30 in Ford Stadium as part of the tournament.
