Crum Common’s annual Great Crumpkin event will be held Friday, Oct. 14 beginning at 5:00 p.m. and will last through the evening until 12:00 a.m. on the Crum Quad. This event is free and open to the public.
There will be free food, shirts, and prizes up for grabs along with a lineup of live musical groups.
“We want people to be aware that there are student musicians on campus that are amazing and to give them a platform to show SMU what they can do,” said Benn Woodruff, SMU sophomore and Crum Commons President.
The lineup includes music from Blue Apollo, Surprising Flavor, Lauren Steele, Belle Tones, Nicki and Chance, Stampede, and Sterling Gavinski.
There will also be a short film competition following the band showcase.
One lucky winner of the film competition will receive a grand prize that includes studio time from Spayse Studios and a professionally produced podcast.
Crum Commons is expecting a larger turnout than last year and hopes this event will be bigger and better than ever before.
