After losing three straight games, the Mustangs defeated Northwestern State on Monday night in Moody Coliseum 67-41.
Samantha Mahnesmith led the Mustangs, scoring 15 points. Christine Elliot put in 8 points and picked up 10 rebounds.
The Mustang defense shined Monday night, forcing 26 turnovers and scoring 24 points off of those turnovers.
The Mustangs next game is scheduled for Dec. 18 at 5 p.m. against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
