A wide range of fascinating features of the Judeo-Spanish culture will be explored through a weeklong program put on by the Jewish Studies group on Southern Methodist University’s campus. The Sephardic Culture series begins on Sunday, Jan. 25 with a program with live music, lectures and personal stories told by guest speakers. It will continue throughout the week with a lecture on Art of Jewish Iberia, The U.S. premier of Saved by Language, and will close with Judeo-Spanish books and Manuscripts. This feature on this specific culture covers two important remembrance days that are directly related to the culture itself: Ladino Day, and Holocaust Remembrance Day. The Jewish Studies program welcomes all guests for free.
