SMU linebacker Taylor Reed has been suspended for the Mustangs upcoming conference game against the University of Tulsa according to Ponyfans.com.

Reed has been suspended from this weekend’s game for conduct detrimental to the team during the SMU vs. Southern Miss game last Saturday. Tulsa is 3-0 in conference and is sure to be a crucial game for the Mustangs who are 3-1 in conference play.

The junior linebacker started in 14 games and posted 145 tackles, the seventh highest total in the NCAA, in the 2010 campaign.

This season, Reed leads the Mustangs with 57 tackles and has 4.5 tackles for loss, including three sacks.
