For many students, allegiance to colleges and universities is ahard thing to change.

The fading Texas Longhorns T-shirt, the threadbare LSU Tigershat and even the worn out Ole Miss Rebels sweatshirt could all usesome updating.

Now, SMU Athletic Marketing is offering students a chance torenew their wardrobe. At the marketing office in Moody Coliseum, orthe Spirit Shop in Ford Stadium, students can trade in one collegehat from any other school and receive an SMU hat in exchange.

“We wanted to give students a chance to show their spiritfor their alma mater, and at the same time update their dailyattire,” Associate Director of Marketing Cherri Shawsaid.

The hat exchange is available to students, and will run throughfootball season.
