Cox School of Business to host alumni cocktail hour

Cox School of Business to host alumni cocktail hour

A Cox School of Business Alumni cocktail hour will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22 at the Dallas Fish Market.

The event is open to all Cox alumni, current students, and friends interested in attending.

“It will be a great opportunity to meet successful professionals who have an invested interest in helping SMU students find jobs,” said Chrissy Porter, a senior accounting major, when asked why she would go to the event.

As many seniors are on the job hunt, events like this are extremely useful for making connections and lasting impressions. A great first impression could lead to an interview and a potential job.

Alumni want to help students from their alma maters find jobs. The job hunt is an intimidating process; therefore events like this can help students get ahead by finding important connections.
