Though delayed by the inclement weather last week, the election for student body officers is finally up and running. Polls are open until 4:30 p.m. today.

The officers and Senators elected today will set the tenor for the entire campus over the next year. Though the Ed Board has been known recently for taking the Senate to task, that is only because we recognize that what the Senate does is important. Or at least, it could be.

The Ed Board has pushed hard this year for the Senate to open up its election process and release vote totals in all its races. There’s been some progress on this front, but not enough. However, none of that progress means anything if students don’t do their part and cast ballots. So fire up your Web browser before the polls close, and let your voice be heard.

And in case you are trying to decide who to vote for, allow us to, one last time, make a few suggestions:
