The No. 15 Mustangs took a hit Tuesday as they look to build on their undefeated start to the season against AAC foe Cincinnati on Thursday night.

According to CBSSports, former McDonald’s All-American guard Keith Frazier has left the team.

There are reports that Frazier, the focus of the NCAA investigation for academic fraud that resulted in this season’s postseason ban, was unhappy in his role with the team and the playing time he was getting. However, to this point, only ‘personal issues’ have been cited by SMU as the reason for Frazier’s departure.

Frazier did not attend Saturday’s win over South Florida, also for ‘personal reasons’. He was averaging 11.9 points and 4.4 rebounds in 28.8 minutes per game this season.

SMU is 13-0 and one of only two undefeated teams remaining in the NCAA.
