Welcome to our weekly news recap where we talk everything Dallas, style and most importantly fashion.
1. Forty Five Ten Opens New Store in HPV
There’s a new kid in Highland Park Village. Literally. Famed Dallas boutique Forty Five Ten is catering to younger shoppers (SMU students perhaps?) with its new concept store, TTH Forty Five Ten, named after former W editor and Dallas native Taylor Tomasi Hill. The store, which opened earlier this month, is hoping to promote emerging design talent, while reorganizing it’s sales floor to reflect concepts for which a client might be looking, such as “uniform dressing” or “sexy and confident dressing,” WWD reports.

2. Kanye West Opens Pablo Pop-Up in Dallas
Remember that time you were stalking Kanye West on Twitter and he said he was coming to your town in one of his #famous cryptic posts? Well that actually happened last weekend (not that we would have noticed what with moving in and all that). The rap star/designer and member of the Kardashian “kamp” opened 21 Pablo pop-up shops around the world, and Dallas (actually Frisco) was one of the lucky cities. The line of “Life of Pablo” merch, which is now out of stock in Texas (and which shoppers weren’t even allowed to touch before buying, Quartz reported) included bomber jackets, t-shirts, hoodies, and hats (if you missed out you can by the special Dallas edition on eBay for the low low price of $99.99).

4. Lela Rose Debuts Gorgeous New Stationary Line
The fashion designer, who was born and raised in Dallas and is known worldwide for her beautiful floral prints and feminine silhouettes, is launching a capsule collection of stationary for Papyrus that is so pretty you’ll want to frame each and every card. The collection is part of Papyrus’ Fashion Designer Series, and shows illustrations of models wearing Rose’s iconic dresses. One thing is clear: this is what every chic SMU girl needs on her dorm desk. The cards will debut online the week of Sept. 5, WWD reports, but in the meantime you can check out the collection here.
