Hey Mustangs! Welcome to your Friday briefing. Here’s a quick roundup of what made the news on SMU-TV this week.
Bike Thefts
Bike theft is a problem once again on the SMU campus, and SMU PD needs your help tracking down the suspects. SMU-TV’s Gianni Windahl has the story on the Daily Update.

H-Town Takedown
SMU football beat No. 11 Houston 38-16, an upset victory that Head Coach Chad Morris called the “next step” in the reinvigoration of the program. #PonyUpTempo
“Anger Management”
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich accused Megyn Kelly of being “obsessed with sex” for reporting the allegations against Donald Trump. Things got heated on live TV, and we once again found ourselves talking about sexual assault instead of the polls. SMU-TV’s Nati Bru has a clip and the story.
Clinton Email Server Saga
Surprise! The FBI announced Friday that it is reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server. ICYMI, the Democratic presidential nominee used a private email server while she was Secretary of State (note: this is not allowed). FBI Director James Comey wrote a letter to top congressional leaders saying that the bureau has discovered new emails that may be “pertinent to the investigation.” With the election less tan two weeks away, this investigation takes the negative spotlight off of Trump (at least for now). Read the full letter here, and follow the hashtag #smuelex on Twitter for SMU student media coverage of the 2016 Presidential Election.
Final Thought: Happy Halloween!
