The Mustangs will lose three players to graduation, but a strong signing class will bring seven newcomers to the Hilltop.

Joining four seniors, a junior and a sophomore will be seven freshmen.

SMU will continue to dominate in the height game with the addition of 7’1″ Tomasz Kwiatkowski, who will join 7’2″ Bamba Fall.

Also, 6’9″ Papa Dia and two 6’8″ players, Alex Malone and Robert Nyakundi, will add height to the roster.

The final three signees represent the guard position. Ryan Harp, Bennie Rhodes and Mike Walker will make up the freshman backcourt.

A diverse class sees the new Mustangs come from Texas, as far north as Iowa and as far west as California. SMU will also add two international bodies to the court. Dia from St. Louis, Senegal (Fall’s hometown) and Kwiatkowski from Poland.

But both Dia and Swiatkowski have spent some time in the United States.

Dia attended school at South Kent in Connecticut, and Kwiatkowski attended Lee Academy in Maine. Walker also attended South Kent with Dia.

The Mustangs will return to the court next season in November.
