Planet Blue at 3010 N. Henderson Ave. and Bumble hosted an event Thursday night to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The event offered a 20 percent discount throughout the entire store, as well as drinks by Impeccable Brut Rosé, sweets, a photo booth, and free Bumble merchandise.

The store was a sea of yellow as guest began to arrive. All of the girls rushed to grab their yellow bumble champagne flutes, cursive straws, t-shirts, pink and yellow sunglasses, buttons, flash tattoos, and canvas totes. The guests then began shopping the store’s latest collection, which was stocked with spring pieces and swimsuits. Lines for the dressing rooms and checkout counter curled throughout the store, but the 100 guests appeared to be having too much fun to mind the wait.

Abby Bertram is an SMU freshman who attended the event.

“It was so much fun!” Bertram said. “My favorite part was the photoshoot- it was a very creative way to promote Bumble by sharing it on my Instagram! I also loved the free stuff.”
