women’s golf struggles on day two of tourney

After a first-round showing that placed the SMU women’s golf team tied for first place in the Conference USA Tournament, the Mustangs stumbled and fell into fifth place.

Kate Ackerson and Jennifer Ackerson continue to play strong and are currently in the Top 10 in the individual standings. Kate Ackerson is currently in third while Jennifer Ackerson is in sixth.

The Mustangs, however, are down but not out. SMU is just 10 shots behind Memphis, who leads with a 607.

The Mustangs will look to bounce back today in the final round of the tournament. SMU will tee off at 8 a.m. for the final 18 holes.
