SMU’s rowing team recently reported that three incoming freshmen have signed Letters of Intent to join the team next year.
Savannah Smith, Allison Jones and Stephanie Gentile are serious prospectives for the future of SMU’s rowing program.
Jones is noted as being the Chesapeake Junior Athlete of the Year for 2009 and 2010, Smith won gold medals at the Booth of the Oklahoma and Gentile will be coming in as a coxswain who competed in a multitude of events and championships in the Northeast.
This initial trio of freshmen will be welcome to the program at SMU and will certainly deliver as much as they have in their respective past careers.
