Tennis

The men’s tennis team fell to Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., last Sunday. Notre Dame is ranked No. 8 in the nation and beat the Mustangs 6-0. The Mustangs dropped to 13-12 for the year.

The women’s team also lost last weekend to No. 26 Fresno State. Saturday’s match was the first for freshman Jenny Langer to play in the No. 1 position. Langer won her first set 6-0 but lost the next two sets.

Golf

The men’s golf team placed third in the Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate last weekend in Auburn, Ala. Senior Jerome Theunis placed third individually with a three-round score of 214, while senior teammate Franklin Hatchett finished third with 215.

After Monday’s first 36 holes of the Susie Mawell Berning Classic, the women’s team is in14th place. The Mustangs play the final 18 holes Tuesday.
