Today marks the first deadline in the student host application process for the Dining with Decision Makers event, which will be held later this month. This event, which is the quarterly SMU Board of Trustees dinner, gives students the opportunity to entertain and dine with the Board of Trustees. A student host position at this dinner means the chance to mingle with while learning from the numerous influential people who serve on the SMU Board of Trustees.

If a student is selected to be a host at the dinner, he or she will have the opportunity to entertain and dine with the trustee with whom he or she is assigned. The student host positions are open to any undergraduate, graduate, full-time or part-time student attending SMU.

In addition to filling out the application, students interested in this position must also submit an autobiography, a resume and an essay explaining why he or she wants to attend the event.
