Dallas fashionistas and philanthropists will gather at the Alpha Chi Couture fashion show and silent auction held at the Tower Club Dallas today. Students will play dress up for a good cause. The goal
for the evening is to raise $60,000 to benefit the Genesis Women’s Shelter, which provides safety and shelter to abused women and their children.
“One in every four women fall victim to domestic violence, which means one in every four of my friends and sisters will become part of that statistic,” said Joy Xac, Alpha Chi Couture college chair. “I have an opportunity to protect the ones that I love and those in my community. Who could say no to a chance like that?”
Dallas’ premiere event producer Jan Strimple will act as the host and TOOTSIES, ZAR Clothier, WAREhaus and Beretta Gallery fashions will provide the clothes.
Tickets are already sold out, but you can still help! Donate at www.alphachicouture.com and become a part of a legacy, which has raised over $200,000 for the Shelter and helped save over 2,000 women and children who have suffered domestic violence.
