It’s hard to believe the New Year is upon us, but alas-autumn clothing is being marked down and the resort lines are starting to pop up in luxury boutiques.

When one reflects on the collections from the past two seasons, one may begin to think of modish opaque/ textured tights with rouged stiletto booties, or perhaps of military jackets with big gold hardware. But nevertheless, he or she will picture the art of re-inventing.

Exam week marks the semester anniversary of The Daily Campus’s Fashion on Campus, and what a semester it has been-we wrangled a cowgirl in an elevator, ranted about the couture shows in Milan, and even covered Dallas’s own Fashion at the Park, just to name a few.

For me, editing the fashion page has been more than I could have expected… I loved it! From week to week, the content changed, but the goal remained constant; bring the runways of Paris to the SMU student body. Although an opinion was snuck in here or there, overall Fashion on Campus made an effort to portray the current styles as accurately as possible, and I think it did.

Keep up with the trends, find your own niche, but always remember to listen to you intuition, it will serve you well. And when in doubt say something clever, direct and, above all else, bitchy!
