Feb. 26 marked the first day of Destination SMU for the class of 2022. Prospective students experienced campus life and got a glimpse at what life would be like as a Mustang.
Destination SMU is designed for admitted students to meet future classmates, attend classes, and meet with professors and current students. The day-long program helps students decide if SMU is the right fit for them.
The day is filled with activities like class visitations, breakout sessions and campus tours. Students also have the option to speak with student ambassadors to get a more personal look at life as an SMU student.
Meadows Ambassador for Prospective Students Dylan Murphy was excited for the new students to see the school she calls home.
“I had such a great time meeting the prospective students that were here for Destination SMU. I enjoyed getting tell them about the journalism school, which is what I am studying here in Meadows,” Murphy said.
Murphy said when she was a high school senior, Destination SMU helped her decide to attend SMU.
“This school hold such a special place in my heart and I hope the students saw something in SMU today like I did when I came to Destination SMU as a high school senior,” Murphy said.
Destination SMU offers three other days this semester for future Mustangs to come see what life on the Hilltop is all about.
