All eyes are on Indiana and Kentucky as polls close at 7 p.m., among the first in the country. In Indiana, incumbent Democratic Sen. Joe Donnelly hopes for re-election. Eyes are on Florida as well, as votes are being counted. CNN has deemed Texas a “battleground state,” as voters wonder whether Texas will turn purple. MSNBC has sent a correspondent to Beto O’Rourke’s El Paso event.
Democrat Representatives need 23 more seats in this election.
Virginia Democrat Jennifer Wexton is projected to win Virginia’s 10th district against Republican Barbara Comstock.
Amy McGrath is projected to win Kentucky District 6.
Republican Dave Brat is projected to win District 7.
The Washington Post said Tim Kaine is winning the senate seat in Virginia.
