Congress stood with “We the People;” it is now time for us to stand with them.
The fight to end the war in Iraq is now on our soil in the halls of Congress. This is a battle to override this irresponsible veto by George W. Bush.
It is now our turn to fight alongside Congress and contact members who should pay the price of refusing to end this tragedy. Tell your friends and neighbors to do the same. The fight is ours and Congress needs to keep this override discussion going as we turn up the heat to do what is right.
If the chicken-hawks want to see a filibuster, they can have one. We even need a filibuster by the majority where there cannot be one: in the house. This issue needs to be hung out to dry in the bright light of the will of the people.
Also, we must fight again if the president ignores the recommendation included in this bill. Congress should then call an emergency session and enact legislation that forces the administration to do what is right.
