Founder of internet-famous potato company speaks about his success

Founder+of+internet-famous+potato+company+speaks+about+his+success

Entrepreneurship club will be hosting a lecture by the founder of PotatoParcel.com Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. at Maguire 250.

In 2015, Alex Craig created PotatoParcel.com, a company where customers can ship a potato through the mail with a custom message on it.

He has been on several television shows including Shark Tank and the Steve Harvey Show. On Shark Tank, his partner Riad Bekhit and he made a deal with Kevin O’Leary.

Since the show aired, they have reportedly sold over $70,000 of potatoes. His company brings in six figures a year.

Vice President Hary Sirivore helped plan the event to encourage entrepreneurial spirit on the SMU campus.

There will be free food at the event, and no ticket is required.
